Relying on the themes of class difference and motherhood I use the stage to explore how shared purpose can bring unexpected friendship to those who value their similarities above their differences. I show the economic standing of both households through the details of weathering, height, and materials, yet connect them through a playset at center stage. Reaching down, digging my fingers into the earth, and uprooting two neighboring homes, I plop them on a stage and observe their developing relationships and strife.
